Tocher: Top 8 Cars from Lights Out V

[tps_title]BOLD EXPERIMENT[/tps_title]

As a 17-year-old ADRL rookie in 2007, Jamie Hancock won the Pro Nitrous world championship with this ’04 Corvette, but for Lights Out V he and his dad, James, pulled the car out of storage and bolted on a pair of drag radial tires that didn’t even come close to filling the rear wheel wells. In his first-ever outing on the small tires, Hancock qualified an impressive ninth for Radial vs. the World racing and even won his first round of eliminations before rain washed away the rest of the weekend. Between the tiny tires and those vertical bullhorn exhaust that shot flames high into the night air at SGMP, this car is one of my favorites if only for the sheer chutzpah it took to put it out there.
