Riesterer Racing with Capitol Backing Toward Two-Car Team

Doug Riesterer’s ADRL Pro Nitrous team will sport a new primary sponsor for the remainder of the 2012 season, with the New Capitol Raceway adorning the sides of Riesterer’s ’68 Camaro. Riesterer’s first event featuring the new sponsorship will be the ADRL Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags VI, Sep. 28-29, at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH.

In April, Capitol Raceway came under the management of Raceway Promotions, a company headed by John Crane. His JA Crane Company and PGT Trucking will also be featured in an associate role on Riesterer’s Pro Nitrous entry.

“We’re excited to have JA Crane on board, and especially Capitol Raceway,” Riesterer said. “Hopefully we’ll continue running well to represent this new partnership.

“We want to get the word out about Capitol Raceway. I keep hearing great things about all the work that John and his crew have put into the facility. We want to get to Maryland and visit the track before the end of the year. Here in Texas it’s always hot and dry so we welcome the change for cooler race weather.”

Crane also is looking forward to the partnership, which may develop into a larger operation if things go as planned.

“Doug is a great guy. I am excited to help someone who normally has to stick to a tight budget for Pro Nitrous,” he said.

“He is very successful at what he does, which will be important for us next year if we make this a two-car team. I’m currently getting seat time for my son, Chase, and if all goes to plan, we’ll be in a two-car team next season. Chase will be behind the wheel of a development car and under the tutelage of Pro Mod standout Larry Plummer.”
