Pro Stock Veteran Morgan Unveils FireAde Camaro

Fire Service Plus Inc., a global leader in innovative and environmental-friendly firefighting, tank cleaning, and dust control products, has partnered with Larry Morgan Racing for the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Veteran Larry Morgan will drive the FireAde Chevrolet Camaro in the Pro Stock class with engines provided by Gray Motorsports.

FireAde logo“We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Larry and his team,” FireAde President and Chief Executive Officer Ron Thames said. “Like us, Larry puts family first but he also knows how to get things done, and we know our relationship will only get stronger as the year progresses. We can’t wait to see the FireAde Chevy go down the track many times.”

In Morgan’s career, he has won 17 national events — including 10 in NHRA Pro Stock — and has raced to 43 final rounds. He is currently the longest-tenured full-time driver in the class.

“We wanted to come back and do it right, and Ron and FireAde are giving us the chance to do it right,” Morgan said. “There is a lot of work to be done, but with Ron’s support and the continued backing of Lucas Oil and Streamlight, we can be much better in 2015. I can’t wait for Pomona.

“We’re definitely excited to partner with such a good company like FireAde. Ron Thames is a class act, and he has done a lot for firefighters across the world to do their jobs better. This is an exciting time of year for us.”

A new Jerry Haas Race Cars Camaro has been built for Morgan and is ready for a new FireAde paint scheme to be added. Morgan last raced a Chevrolet in 1999.

“I look forward to racing a Chevy again and getting hooked back up with GM,” Morgan said. “They were good to me in my time with them, and I know they will be again.”

Morgan has long had his own in-house engine program, but that will be set aside as he will lease engines from the powerful Gray Motorsports camp.

“For us to start over from scratch on an engine program would have been more costly than it would be to lease,” Morgan said. “We felt the Grays were the best fit for us right now.”

And it extends a relationship Morgan has had with Gray Motorsports owner Johnny Gray.

“We’ve been friends for more than 35 years,” Morgan said. “It’s an honor for us to be able to race with them again. We feel they’re at the top with horsepower, and we look forward to having a good time.”

Thames started Fire Service Plus in 1998 and since helped the company become a worldwide leader through its FireAde brand. FireAde 2000 and its associated products continue to revolutionize the firefighting industry with more than 30 years of research and development. FireAde 2000 is 100 percent environmentally friendly and is the most complete and user-friendly firefighting agent produced in the world.

FireAde’s products are manufactured under strict quality control at the corporate facilities in Fayetteville. Fire Service Plus utilizes cutting-edge chemistry, including trademarked Green Agent Technology, to deliver superior results.

Fire Service Plus supports a worldwide network of dealers through a 22,000-square-foot facility that is capable of producing over 24,000 gallons of finished product daily. The storage capacity and inventory is in excess of 100,000 gallons and, coupled with a 24-hour emergency response, guarantees 100 percent customer support.
