ididit, in collaboration with Detroit Speed, has developed a new lightweight steering column called the PRO-Lite for drag racing, off-road and other competition applications. Total weight of the new unit is under six pounds, or half the weight of a standard ididit steering column and potentially even greater weight savings compared with typical OE columns.
There is no need to sacrifice functionality for performance; the ididit PRO-Lite is loaded with great features for the street and the race track. Enhanced driver safety is provided via a full five inches of collapsibility built into the column. A host of standard features, which include turn signals, 4-way flashers and horn wiring, make the transition from the track to the street seamless! Installation is easy using your original dash mount and ididit’s plug-in wiring connectors. The PRO-Lite column is designed to work with most quick=release steering wheel hubs. Steering wheel adaptors are sold separately. Columns are available in universal lengths for easy adaptation to different vehicles, and ididit even offers the columns customized to fit your vehicle. Standard matte black finish is durable and attractive. ididit’s new PRO-Lite steering column is a great way to shave some weight off your car or truck and maintain fully streetable functionality.
