Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) and Rocky Footwear & Apparel have announced a multi-year sponsorship that will feature 2011 NHRA Funny Car champion Matt Hagan beginning with the 2013 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
“I can’t imagine having a more perfect sponsor,” Hagan said. “I’ve been using Rocky products for years when I’m hunting and working on the farm. And Rocky boots makes me look good when I go out on the town with my family.”
Rocky Footwear & Apparel is headquartered in Nelsonville, Ohio, where its South Eastern Ohio corporate office and distribution center are located.
“We are excited to align the Rocky brand with Schumacher Racing and driver Matt Hagan,” stated Liz Horn, marketing vice president for Rocky Brands. “The synergy between Rocky and the interests and lifestyle of Matt and the team is tremendous and will serve to grow both the Rocky and the Schumacher Racing brands.”
Rocky will be on Hagan’s Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car at each of 24 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events in 2013 and featured on Hagan’s car for three primary NHRA events beginning at the April 26-28 NHRA Springnationals near Houston.

“And Matt was born to represent products like those of Rocky Brands. Matt was a Rocky customer long before Rocky came on board with us.”
