FIRST LOOK: ’71 MUSTANG PRO EXTREME CAR COMING FOR LEGGETT

Terry Leggett’s “LEGBONE” Racing is announcing the debut of a brand new ’71 Mach 1 Mustang built by Jerry Bickel Race Cars that’s destined to do battle in the PDRA Pro Extreme wars.

Leggett hopes to have the car completed by October for the final PDRA race of 2014 at Virginia Motorsports Park. The car will be a replica of the first car Leggett owned, but will be powered by something a little quicker than the 351 Cleveland 4-speed that was in his street car.

“I would like to thank my family, friends, crew and fans for all their support through the years. A special thanks also to Terry Coyle and Kim Burrus, Flying A Motorsports, Cam 2 Racing Oil, Synder Motorsports, PRO-FABrication and Hooiser Tires,” Leggett said.

“I also want to express my appreciation and thanks for the four families that put the money up to fund PDRA and give these type of cars a place to race.”
