Classic Graphix Handing Out $1000 to Quickest PDRA Competitors

Brandon Snider

As a committed PDRA partner, Classic Graphix believes in giving credit where credit is due. That’s why the company has stepped up to hand out $1000 to racers who can break the barrier of the quickest run in their respective categories.

Classic-PDRAThe Classic Graphix Pro Performance Challenge will award $1000 to the first Pro Boost, Pro Nitrous and Pro Extreme racer at each event who is able to go faster than the quickest recorded run. The initial standard for the Challenge will be the current E.T. record, but after that racers must go faster than the last Classic Graphix Pro Performance Challenge winner. The Challenge will be contested during qualifying runs only and will be awarded only to the first to break the barrier at every remaining event on the 2016 PDRA tour.

The Classic Graphix Tribute to Ronnie Davis will offer a $1000 reward to the first Top Sportsman racer to go quicker than 3.800 throughout qualifying or eliminations and the first Top Dragster racer to go quicker than 3.600 during qualifying or eliminations. This is a one-time award given to the first TS and first TD racers to break the barriers.

Classic Graphix has also designed Performance Challenge jackets, unique to each class, that will be awarded to the winners. The company stated the motivation behind the Pro Performance Challenge and Tribute to Ronnie Davis are an effort to give back to the PDRA and its racers.

“We want to thank Scott [Bathurst, owner Classic Graphix] for putting these programs on for the racers,” stated PDRA Director, Bob Harris. “The PDRA is home to the fastest door cars on the planet and we’re thrilled to have Classic Graphix reward all the racers’ performance.”

Both the sportsman and professional program will begin at the PDRA Texas Nationals, May 19-21. The sportsman program will continue for each class until there is a winner. The professional program will begin again at each event for the remainder of the season. The current time to beat will be posted at www.pdra660.com/.
