Brazilian Team to Enter Top Fuel in 2013

Following a ninth-place finish in national NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster points this year, Brazil’s Sidnei “Grandão” (Big Guy) Frigo and his Artivinco Racing team will be stepping up to Top Fuel competition in 2013.

In his 2011 rookie year, Frigo won the Top Alcohol Div. 2 race at Charlotte’s zMAX Dragway.

With a brand-new McKinney chassis under him, Frigo, whose race team is based in Florida, will begin testing this December to prepare for his Top Fuel debut in February at the 53rd annual O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, California.

The Artivinco team is currently holding an online fan vote (in Portuguese) to choose the paint scheme for its new car, with five winners of team shirts and hats to be notified Nov. 30.
