Become an Honorary Crew Member for Morgan Lucas Racing to Benefit Racers for Christ

Morgan Lucas Racing will partner with Racers For Christ to provide a unique experience to an NHRA fan during the Toyota NHRA Summernationals on June 5-7 at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J.

Through an eBay auction at http://www.ebay.com/itm/161709359602, fans can bid on the chance to become an Honorary Crew Member for Top Fuel driver Morgan Lucas’ team during the Summernationals. All proceeds from the auction benefit Racers For Christ, a ministry close to the heart of MLR.

“Morgan has been such a good friend and a faithful supporter to Team RFC for many years, and this is just one more way we can get the fans involved,” Team RFC President Larry Smiley said. “The fans can see that there’s more than just racing; there’s the spiritual aspect that is well-respected in the NHRA.

“For us, more than the finances, it means that we get to share a faith experience with them also, and they get to see that Team RFC is a priority to the race teams. We are extremely pleased to partner with Morgan Lucas Racing on this venture and are excited to be a part of the team.”

Included in the experience are two full-event, general-admission tickets and VIP access to MLR hospitality for the entire weekend. Plus, on Friday or Saturday, the winner will serve as an Honorary Crew Member for the full day and get to wear a special MLR team shirt for the day. The winner will also get to meet Lucas and the crew, as well as receive autographed memorabilia.

More than 300 RFC chaplains minister at over 2,000 events on a yearly basis, including the full NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. Team RFC’s motto is “Bringing Inspiration to the World of Motorsports,” and it does so by providing chapel services, pastoral care, outreach, and Christian fellowship.

The Honorary Crew Member will also be invited to Team RFC chapel services on Sunday morning.

The online auction opens at 8 p.m. ET today and will run for a week.
