Nostalgia Gassers at Greer Dragway

Part of what co-organizer Quain Stott wanted to accomplish Aug. 11 with the inaugural running of eight true nostalgia gassers at Greer (SC) Dragway was to make it seem like 1965 again and show modern fans what drag racing was like “back in the day.” He said if the photos could make it look that way–other than depicting modern cars and clothing in the background–he’d know they succeeded in creating the illusion. We thought switching our images over to black-and-white might help that belief along.
