Winter Series Pro Mod Standout Jason Lee Sidelined for U.S. Street Nationals

Coast Packing Co. race team owner Eric Gustafson has confirmed that longtime driver and tuner Jason Lee will not be competing at the upcoming U.S. Street Nationals presented by M&M Transmission due to a lingering health issue. A world-championship caliber talent in doorslammer drag racing, Lee and his family continue to pursue a resolution, but the team has opted to sideline the screw-blown Camaro until Lee makes a full recovery.

In Lee’s absence, Coast Packing team driver Cam Hensley will continue to wheel the team’s ProCharged ’69 Camaro.

“We’re serious about drag racing, but we’re more serious about our people, their health and well being, so we’re definitely focusing our energy on Jason feeling better,” said Gustafson. “We appreciate all the support we receive from fans and our fellow racers, so we wanted to make sure we communicated clearly why Jason wasn’t racing this weekend. We’re looking forward to getting him feeling better and back out to the track as soon as possible.”
