WATCH: Cleetus McFarland Breaks Drag Radial Quarter-Mile Speed Record in ‘Eagle’

YouTube star and racer Cleetus McFarland just made history at his home track, Bradenton Motorsports Park, where he tested his twin-turbo “Eagle” ’69 Camaro ahead of next month’s World Cup Finals: Import vs. Domestic, Nov. 5-9, at Maryland International Raceway. Working with acclaimed tuner Jamie Miller, McFarland and his team made a series of progressive passes before ending the session with a jaw-dropping 5.772-second pass at 257.14 mph, setting a new drag radial quarter-mile speed record.

In the latest video on McFarland’s channel, Miller explains the tuning adjustments that led to the record-breaking run, while McFarland introduces two new members of his growing team: Johnny Miller and Cord Collins — both Drag Illustrated 30 Under 30 honorees, just like McFarland himself. With fresh faces, refined power, and a record-setting hot rod, McFarland and “Eagle” are heading into World Cup Finals with serious momentum.
