True Brand Riding With Jim Dunn Racing, Buddy Hull at Motorplex

Season-long sponsor, True Brand Products, will have their first full-car wrap on the Jim Dunn Racing nitro Funny Car this weekend at the Texas Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex, October 11-13, 2024. Throughout the season Funny Car driver Buddy Hull has been representing True Brand but in Dallas the first year Funny Car driver is excited to step up the True Brand presence. True Brand performance additives and treatments can be used in all types of engines, fuel systems, gear/transmissions, and hydraulic systems. Since 1976, their products have been used in the automotive, phosphate, citrus, railroad, steel, coal, and entertainment industries.
 
In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) will also be highlighted on the True Brand nitro Funny Car. NBCF’s mission is to help women who are currently affected by breast cancer by providing detection, education, and support services. They are committed to helping patients and caregivers along all stages of the breast cancer journey.

“I am thrilled that True Brands is going to be the main sponsor on the race car,” said Hull. “They’ve been a fantastic partner for us all season, so to get them the recognition they deserve, especially at this race. It’s an honor to represent them and the National Breast Cancer Foundation during breast cancer awareness month and the Jim Dunn Funny Car is going to have such an awesome look.”
 
In addition to True Brands and NBCF, new sponsor, RBT Distribution, will be appearing on the car for the first time. RBT is a B2B boutique distributor, known for being a reliable partner for all automotive, RV, and outdoor product needs. RBT Distribution aspires to be a company that values both their suppliers and dealers equally, and their strategies are aimed at promoting the brands they represent in innovative ways. Their commitment to exceptional customer service is the foundation that sets them apart from the competition. They will also have a large group of distributors in the pits and at the track with Jim Dunn Racing.
 
Hull will also continue to represent his season-long sponsors, Vertex Roofers and General Contractors, Lescure Mechanical Services, Blaze Exhaust Probes, Crow Safety, KGC Construction, Koppl Pipeline Services, Mooneyes, Good Vibrations Motorsports, Powerbuilt Tools and Wiley X.
 
Leading up to the Fall Nationals, Hull will be participating in many of the Texas Motorplex’s Stampede of Speed events, including the Champions’ Dinner on Wednesday, October 9, and the Fan Fest on Thursday, October 10.
 
“The Texas Fall Nationals and Stampede of Speed is the best event of the year, because it’s not just the race, but the entertainment too,” said Hull. “It’s the whole week prior, with all kinds of cool things going on, like bull riding, country music concerts, divisional racing and more. It’s almost like the true carnival of drag racing, wrapping up the tail end of the season.”
 
Hull and the Jim Dunn Racing team will make two qualifying runs on Friday, October 11 and two qualifying runs on Saturday, October 12 at Texas Motorplex. The top 16 quickest Funny Cars in the field will then advance to race day on Sunday, October 13, attempting to take home a Wally. The first round of eliminations will begin on Sunday at 12 p.m. CDT.
