Summit Motorsports Park Racer Bob Cireddu Heading to Las Vegas to Race Toward World Championship

Bob Cireddu shows his substantial set of skills every time he climbs into the cockpit of his dragster at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

He is competitive on the track, and that helps him win races, and he is cordial off the track, and that helps him win the hearts of those around him.

That was obvious when he pushed to the Super Pro win and helped propel Summit Motorsports Park to the team championship at the NHRA North Central Division 3 Summit Racing Equipment ET Racing Series Team Finals on Sept. 13, 2025 at Summit Motorsports Park. That victory, which is in many ways personal, qualified Cireddu to race toward a world championship at the NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is Oct. 30-Nov. 2, 2025.

“Randy Scheuer Jr. took a video of the final round at the Team Finals, and after I won, he turned around to capture the people who stayed to cheer me on, and it was the most amazing sight for me to see,” said Cireddu. “It was very inspiring.”

That inspiration will now fuel Cireddu as he prepares for his trip to Las Vegas. His friends, Dave Dye and Dan Swalius, are already on their way to Las Vegas with Cireddu’s dragster, truck and trailer, and he will fly out of Ohio on Wednesday to meet them. His brother and fellow accomplished racer, Brian Cireddu, will be at his side.

“This has been on my mind for over a month, and once I arrive with my brother, Brian, I hope I have the presence of mind to soak it all in,” said Cireddu. “I will be in good hands with Brian coaching me, and I will listen to him. I also hope to represent Summit Motorsports Park, my family, fellow racers and friends well, and to make them all proud.”
