Street Car Braggin’ Rights Announces $50,000 Purse For The SCBR Shootout

Street Car Braggin’ Rights and promoter Nate Prater announced Sunday, August 17th an increased $50,000 purse for The SCBR Shootout class at Street Car Braggin’ Rights ’26, April 15-18, 2026, at Rockingham Dragway. This is double the current highest Street Car Shootout purse.

The SCBR Shootout class at Street Car Braggin Rights ’26 will field 104 entries over five classes, making it the largest Street Car Shootout to date, racing for the largest purse in Street Car history.

The SCBR Shootout

• A Class*- Qualifiers 1-8 ( Field of 8)

• B Class*- Qualifiers 9-24 ( Field of 16)

• C Class*- Qualifiers 25-40 ( Field of 16)

• D Class*- Qualifiers 41-72 ( Field of 32)

• E Class*- Qualifiers 73-104 ( Field of 32)

*Class names TBA

“The Street Car Braggin’ Rights Shootout will continue to utilize the blind qualifying format for 2026,” Prater said. “This combined with new class breaks, we believe this will bring the tightest fields of Street Car racing we have ever seen.”
