Strange Engineering Named Official Axles and Brakes of Drag Illustrated Winter Series, Steps Up Again as Racer Welcome Party Partner

Strange Engineering, a trusted name in the drag racing industry for over 50 years, has been named the official axles and brakes of the Drag Illustrated Winter Series. Known for its high-performance driveline and suspension components, Strange Engineering continues to set the standard in racing innovation and durability.

“Strange Engineering is proud to be named as the official supplier of axles and brakes for the DI Winter Series,” said J.C. Casio, Director of Business Development at Strange Engineering. “Wes [Buck] and his team never fail to impress as the series continues to grow and bring out the best competition race after race. Strange looks to these events to improve and evolve our product line to meet the demands of Pro Mod competitors. The Winter Series allows us to get critical feedback directly from our customers.”

“Strange Engineering has been a cornerstone of the drag racing industry for decades, and we’re thrilled to have them as the official axles and brakes of the Drag Illustrated Winter Series,” said Wes Buck, Founder of Drag Illustrated and Winter Series Promoter. “Their unwavering support of racers, coupled with their commitment to innovation, perfectly aligns with the spirit of this series.”

For more than five decades, Strange Engineering has been a household name among racers and crew chiefs, delivering top-quality axles, brakes, and other components that meet the demands of both hardcore racing and high-performance street applications. The company’s dedication to continuous improvement and innovation has made it a leader in the industry, trusted by racers worldwide.

“Exciting new products, including brakes and housings, will be launched throughout the year, and they are a direct result of interactions with the racers, tuners, and crew chiefs we see at these events,” added Casio.

The Drag Illustrated Winter Series is set to deliver three blockbuster events: the historic Snowbird Outlaw Nationals (Dec. 5-8, 2024), the intense U.S. Street Nationals (Jan. 23-26, 2025), and the highly anticipated World Series of Pro Mod (Feb. 27-March 1, 2025).

In addition to its role as the official supplier, Strange Engineering is once again stepping up as the presenting sponsor of the Racer Welcome Parties, set to take place the evening before qualifying begins at each event. These events provide a relaxed, welcoming environment for racers, crew members, and sponsors to unwind and connect before the competition heats up.

“As a big thank you to everyone, Strange Engineering is extending our sponsorship of the Racer Welcome Dinners at each event,” said Casio. “The upcoming DI Winter Series will be very exciting, making Strange Engineering’s involvement an easy decision.”

“The Racer Welcome Parties presented by Strange Engineering have become the highlight of our events, setting the tone for the camaraderie and competition that make these races so special,” added Buck. “We couldn’t ask for a better partner to help kick off each event and celebrate the incredible racers and teams that make our sport great.”
