“I have waited my entire career for a show like the High Performance Expo to come to Charlotte, a show that will highlight this region’s long-time commitment and passion for auto racing and performance and what we have to offer this industry,” said Greg Fornelli, founder and president of Stock Car Steel. “HPX will be a huge spotlight on this region’s racing and performance pedigree and I’m excited to see how this show can help our industry grow.”
Fornelli is also a past Chairman of the North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA), the host organization of HPX. The inaugural High Performance Expo, the exclusive business and enthusiast show hosted by the North Carolina Motorsports Association, will be held from June 3-5, 2025, at the Charlotte Convention Center (CCC), followed by area-wide enthusiast activities. The event will bring together all segments of the automotive aftermarket community for the first time in the heart of the auto racing industry.
“Greg Fornelli is a long-time champion of auto racing and performance, and his group of companies have a long history of supporting this industry. We are thrilled to have Greg and his team bring a major-league Charlotte-based presence to the show,” said Dana Teague, general manager of HPX. “Stock Car Steel and SRI are unquestioned industry leaders who have embraced the HPX mission to deliver an elevated experience for all buyers, participants and attendees.”
SRI Performance
Started in 2016 with the purchase of the former Roush-Yates Performance business, SRI Performance stands as a leader of new and used racecar parts. SRI Performance is the largest supplier of used NASCAR racing parts from today’s top race teams with all kinds of chassis parts from ball joints to race seats and steering wheels, to even complete race cars. SRI Performance also works directly with NASCAR as a recognized NASCAR Competition Partner, with a trackside hauler at every cup race providing teams a place to buy last minute tools and equipment right in the garage area.
Greg Fornelli saw a unique need for a store located closer to our Midwest customers, specifically catering to the unique demands of Indy cars. SRI Indy was opened in 2017 in Indianapolis, drastically decreasing shipping turnaround and lowering costs for all valued customers.

They are a full-line steel service center, stocking thousands of sizes, shapes, grades and types of metal and plastics. In addition to servicing NASCAR race teams, Stock Car Steel and Aluminum also serves markets outside of the racing world.
