The second of this year’s Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Challenges at Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY, is set to take place August 15-17. The event will include the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS).

Several of the winning teams from this season and last have been among the first to confirm their entries. Cody Reome from McGraw, NY and his Finish Line Super Cars Top Dragster clocked two wins last year and are looking to repeat. Kayden Wicke of Stratford, Ontario, won the overall Quick 32 Sportsman Series at this year’s previous event and is eager for another win with his K&K Racing 2006 Dodge Stratus. Plus, you can never count out the Top Sportsman Dan Germano who piloted Magnum Motorsports’ 1968 Chevrolet Camaro from Macedon, NY and Craig Chadderdon’s Big Blue, the Top Dragster winner from earlier this year from Scottsville, NY.

The Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) will include previous winner Josh Costa from Retsof, NY, riding his 2009 Suzuki Hayabusa and Josie Brooks from Arkona, ON, riding her 1997 GSXR 750. Brooks was the number one qualifier at the last two events and the winner in 2023.

Qualifying will be held on Friday, August 15, at 5:00 and 7:00 pm and Saturday, August 16, starting at 10:00 am, with eliminations starting at 2:00 pm on Saturday.

An extensive field of competitors is expected once again for the Pro Modifieds, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series, stated Director Bruce Mehlenbacher.

Leading the Quick 32 Sportsman Series Championship Point Award Series is Kayden Wicke with 340 points, followed by Craig Chadderdon in second with 319 points, Luke DeJonge in third with 300 points, Don Kiekel in fourth with 296 points, and Buddy Forrest rounds out the top five with 280 points.

The Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) Championship Point Award Series is led by Josh Costa with 318 points, followed by Lee Burgess in second place with 297 points, Bill Pippard in third place with 279 points, Nichole Albin in fourth place with 259 points and Tom Varney in fifth place with 258 points.

The Championship Point Award Series Banquet, “Night of Champions” for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS), will be held at the Genesee River Restaurant and Reception Center in Mount Morris, NY on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
