Rising Star Ethan Steding Set for Pro Mod Debut at Darana Motorsports Park – Dunn

Ethan Steding is set to make his highly anticipated Pro Mod debut when the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series rolls into Darana Motorsports Park – Dunn (formerly GALOT Motorsports Park) on November 6–8.

The talented young driver will wheel Kurt Steding, his father’s P2 Contracting supercharged ’69 Camaro, for the first time in official competition.

“This event, I’ll be driving my dad’s car as one of our other cars is still in the process of being put back together,” Ethan shared. “I’m feeling great about it, and I’m pumped up. We did a little bit of testing a couple of weeks back, and everything went well, and I’m ready to tear it up in competition.”

Known for his precision on the starting line and calm confidence under pressure, Ethan has quickly built a reputation for being one of the next-generation drivers to watch. His résumé already includes major wins and two PDRA Pro Street world championship titles that prove he has what it takes to compete with the best in the sport.

While this debut marks a new chapter in his career, it’s also a special family milestone.

“Racing Pro Mod was definitely a goal that I wanted to achieve, especially to be racing in the same class as my dad, which I am very thankful for this opportunity he and my mother are giving me to wheel one of these machines,” he said.

“I am super proud of his accomplishment in his Pro Street car, and he’s definitely ready for the Pro Mod,” Kurt said. “I look forward to racing with him with the two-car father-son team.”

Ethan and his father Kurt have shared the winner’s circle multiple times, but now the 18-year-old is looking forward to sharing another significant aspect of racing with his dad.

“It’s going to be fun, we always joke around about it, and now to finally have the chance to line up next to him is really cool,” Ethan adds.

Fans at Darana Motorsports Park will witness not only Ethan’s first Pro Mod appearance but also a continuation of the family’s racing legacy — a full-circle moment representing the spirit of the IHRA’s “New Era.”
