Right Trailers Racer Cole Rudy Sweeps Wins at Mason Dixon Dragway

Cole Rudy had a clean sweep this past weekend at his home track, the Mason Dixon Dragway in Boonsboro, Maryland. He swept the field and remained in the winner’s circle during the SBRA Series while racing in the Jr. Dragster class. 

The weekend prior, he won the NHRA Summit Series Jr. Dragster open class, making it a total of three wins in two weeks at Mason Dixon Dragway. Rudy went six rounds and won on July 27, followed by a second-round breakout on July 28. Prior to this, Rudy came off a full week of racing at the Eastern Conference Finals in Bristol, Tennessee, where he showed great promise and commitment as a competitive racer.

Rudy credits his love for racing from his father and grandfather, who were racers themselves, in what he describes as a family sport for them. “Racing is in my blood and I knew I wanted to be in this sport for a long time,” said Rudy.

He has been a racer for the Right Trailers Motorsports team for nearly two years, where he has been able to represent the team at various races, such as the Right Trailers World Series of Juniors, and meet some of his racing heroes, like Austin Prock.

Off the track, Cole enjoys watching racing and loves RC race cars. In his spare time, he builds his own RC cars. Cole will race again at the WDRA Sportsman Series at Maryland International Raceway on August 17-18. Driving in his American flag wrapped Mike Bos dragster, it will be hard to miss him while at the track.
