PPG Joins PRO Superstar Shootout Key Sponsor Line-Up

The 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout, February 6-8, 2025, continues to show its merits as a premier event for national brands with the addition of PPG as a premium sponsor. PPG will utilize the hospitality benefits of the three-day event as well as social media content opportunities and FloRacing’s livestream platform.

“Having a company like PPG see the marketing and promotional benefits of the SCAG PRO Superstar Shootout shows us we are building an event that is not just great for the fans but also great for corporate partners,” said Alan Johnson, PRO president. “There will be more exciting announcements in the future, and we can’t wait to get to Bradenton Motorsports Park in February.”

PPG has been a long-time sponsor of nitro Funny Car driver and team owner Bob Tasca III. During the inaugural SCAG PRO Superstar Shootout Tasca unveiled his PPG FORD DARK HORSE NITRO MUSTANG Funny Car and proceeded to post the fastest speed in drag racing history, becoming the first driver in any category to exceed 340 mph with his 341.68 mph pass.

“Having PPG step up to promote this race and leverage the thrill of drag racing is a huge win for everyone involved,” said Bob Tasca III, driver of the PPG Dark Horse Ford Mustang Funny Car. “It’s about igniting passion and excitement for fans and showcasing the innovation that drives this sport. PPG understands the power of connection and adrenaline and bringing that energy to drag racing is awesome! I can’t wait to race.”

PPG will also be highlighted during the FloRacing broadcast of the event through commercial segments, reaching a vast streaming audience. The addition of PPG to the previously announced partnership with SCAG Power Equipment and upcoming sponsor announcements is a testament to both teams and partners commitment to the success of the 2nd annual SCAG PRO Superstar Shootout.

Additional announcements, including participating drivers, sponsors, and schedule of events, including open testing on Thursday, February 6, will be announced shortly at www.prosuperstarshootout.com. Tickets can be purchased here.
