PJH Trackbite Named Official Traction Compound of NHRA

NHRA officials announced that PJH Trackbite has been named the “Official Traction Compound of NHRA,” beginning during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season as part of a long-term partnership.

The 2025 season begins March 6-9 with the NHRA Gatornationals at legendary Gainesville Raceway, and with the multi-year agreement, PJH Trackbite, which has been an industry leader for more than five decades, will supply the traction compound at every NHRA national event.

The track sprayer at all Mission Foods Drag Racing Series events will be branded with PJH Trackbite, while the company will also receive digital and print promotional items with the partnership.

“Since 1972, PJH TrackBite has been relied upon to create speed, excitement, and consistency in competitive drag racing around the world,” PJH Trackbite President Kurt Hettinga said. “Our partnership with the NHRA highlights Trackbite’s commitment to being the premium product used for track adhesion and performance enhancement.”

Known over the years as VHT, PJ1, and now PJH, the production processes, and unwavering quality has made PJH Trackbite an industry leader and a reliable product to help boost performance and consistency of racing surfaces around the world.

PJH Trackbite is also a unique formula specifically designed to create adhesion between rubber, asphalt and concrete.
