PDRA American Doorslammer Challenge Canceled Due to Weather

Due to the inclement weather forecast, the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series and Summit Motorsports Park officials have made the tough decision to cancel the PDRA American Doorslammer Challenge presented by Callies Performance Products scheduled for this weekend on May 22-24.

After multiple days of a rainy forecast, officials are seeing cold and windy conditions following behind with one day with a raceable window with a cold and potential hazy start which does not bode well to complete a Red Line Oil PDRA championship series event under safe and raceable conditions for the multiple days needed. While there is the back-up day of Sunday on the schedule, a rain chance has entered the forecast for both Sunday and Monday over the last 12 hours, adding yet another variable to a very challenging situation.

PDRA and SMP officials are saddened to make this decision as Norwalk is always a star on the calendar, but at the end of the day, the safety of all competitors and guests sits as the series’ number one priority.

For anyone who purchased race entries or tickets online, all will be refunded and you should see these refunds in your bank accounts within 7-10 days. If you do not see your refund after this time period, please email series director Tyler Crossnoe at [email protected] for further needed information.
