Duck X Productions has rescheduled the Summit Racing Equipment No Mercy 17 at South Georgia Motorsports Park to Oct. 21-25 due to a worsening weather forecast.
Event officials announced the decision after continued monitoring showed increasing rain chances throughout the week, leaving little confidence that racers would have a fair opportunity to complete the event.
“After closely monitoring the forecast, we’ve made the difficult decision to reschedule the race to October 21–25,” Duck X Productions said in its announcement. “With rain chances throughout the week getting worse, we simply don’t see a reasonable window to give our racers and fans the quality event they deserve—or, most importantly, a fair opportunity to complete the race.”
Officials also cited safety concerns in making the call, while acknowledging racers and fans who had already started traveling to the Valdosta, Georgia, facility.
The Summit Racing Equipment No Mercy 17 will now take place Oct. 21-25 at South Georgia Motorsports Park.
