Nitrous Oxide Safety System Developed By Nitrous Supply

As often happens in motorsports, accidents can lead to the development of new products to enhance safety. There have been incidents where a car equipped with a nitrous oxide system crashed or blew up and the driver was unable to shut the system off —and the fire continued to accelerate.

Responding to the need, industry veteran Mike Thermos and his team at Nitrous Supply have developed a nitrous control valve system that features a driver-actuated on/off lever, with an auxiliary “off” pull handle mounted for access by crew members or safety workers from outside the car.

The Inline Safety Valve (p/n 26500) features Nitrous Supply’s highly acclaimed CNC-machined billet aluminum Outlaw Power Valve that has a large .500” orifice and internal porting for optimum flow. It is available with AN-8 or AN-6 lines. Now required by some racing associations, the auxiliary “T-handle” can be mounted on a pillar or the vehicle’s rear deck, per sanctioning organization rules.

Founded in 2004 by nitrous oxide pioneer Mike Thermos, Nitrous Supply manufactures a multitude of special valves, nozzles and solenoids to enhance or configure any system. The company, located in Huntington Beach, CA also does nitrous refills, custom manifold plumbing and system analysis. Visit www.NitrousSupply.com or call 714-373-1986..
