NHRA Teams with GESi For GESi Pro Stock No. 1 Qualifier Award For 2025 Season

NHRA officials announced today that GESi will be the sponsor of the No. 1 qualifier award in Pro Stock as part of a multi-year partnership.

The GESi Pro Stock No. 1 Qualifier Award will be handed out at each of the 18 Pro Stock events during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, beginning with this weekend’s 56th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at legendary Gainesville Raceway.

The top qualifier in the loaded Pro Stock field will earn $2,000 at each event, adding a special bonus – along with some extra intensity – to the two days of qualifying.

“I love this class and I think if you work that hard to become the No. 1 qualifier you should be rewarded for it,” GESi CEO Eric Latino said. “It’s such a high-level professional class and we wanted to step up and provide this. I wanted to give back and I’m really looking forward to this. It should be really exciting this year.”

The GESi Pro Stock No. 1 Qualifier Award is another way the company has become involved in NHRA drag racing. Latino is the CEO of GESi, which specializes in the design, engineering and manufacturing of world-leading global emission systems.

Last year, reigning Pro Stock world champion Greg Anderson dominated in qualifying, earning eight No. 1 positions. Six-time champion Erica Enders, who won the season-opening Gatornationals, was right behind with seven No. 1 qualifiers as the two veterans reigned supreme during qualifying. Dallas Glenn, who finished second in points, had a pair of top qualifying efforts in 2024.

Anderson leads all Pro Stock competitors with 132 career No. 1 qualifying positions.

“We’re excited to partner with GESi on this award, which offers a little more incentive for the drivers in Pro Stock to try and get that No. 1 position,” NHRA Director of Advertising/Sponsorship Sales Jeff Morton said. “GESi has proven to be a great partner across several categories and they are passionate about NHRA drag racing and especially the Pro Stock category. This will be a great award to track throughout the year as teams put in a great amount of effort to try and qualify No. 1.”
