T&D Machine Products, manufacturers of shaft-mount rocker systems for virtually every pushrod engine, has just released a new shaft-mount rocker set for the 426 Hemi. According to T&D, the features and benefits are a substantial upgrade to other Hemi sets on the market.
The rockers are anchored on a 1-piece stand design for a stiffer, more ridged mount, making for far more consistent valve lash. T&D engineers have improved the geometry over the original OEM compromises, while maintaining the original configuration to make it truly bolt-on. The set fits under a stock valve cover. The rocker ratio is OEM.
The T&D rocker system oils through the head like stock, but like most T&D systems also has internal oiling through the rocker bodies for improved oiling to the pushrods.
T&D has added spring spacers for ease of spring maintenance or testing. The system uses ball/cup style pushrods.
As a major extra, T&D has developed rocker shafts with a much heavier 5/16” (0.325) wall thickness.
