Mid-West Drag Racing Series Announces First-Ever Double Down in T-Town, Combining Drag & Dirt Racing For One Massive Weekend

The Mid-West Drag Racing Series, in partnership with Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Raceway Park and Tulsa Speedway, is proud to announce a first-of-its-kind motorsports experience: DOUBLE DOWN IN T-TOWN – a two-day, two-track extravaganza featuring drag racing’s Throwdown in T-Town / Ronnie Hobbs World Finals and dirt racing’s Dirt Down in T-Town, all for one unbeatable price.

Taking place October 17-18, this historic collaboration offers free general admission to both events – with a single $25-per-vehicle parking pass unlocking access to every burnout, wheelstand, and dirt-slinging slide across both venues.

“Double Down in T-Town is going to be absolutely insane,” said MWDRS announcer Luke Carpenter. “Pro Mods and Funny Cars throwing down at over 200 miles an hour on one side of the property, while 900-horsepower sprint cars slide sideways on the other. It’s every kind of motorsports mayhem packed into one weekend – and fans can see it all for the price of parking. This is one of the best values in racing, period.”

DRAG RACING – THROWDOWN IN T-TOWN / RONNIE HOBBS WORLD FINALS

On the eighth-mile surface at Tulsa Raceway Park, fans will witness championship-deciding rounds in all seven MWDRS classes, including Pro Mod, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Funny Car, and Junior Dragsters. The event also features the $10,000-to-win Pro Mod Shootout and the $20,000 Pro Mod main event, plus action from the MAKO Real Street Reunion, Outlaw Gassers, and more.

To cap each night, Douthit Motorsports’ Jet Cars Rock will deliver flaming, side-by-side exhibition passes for a sensory overload fans won’t soon forget. And with every general admission ticket doubling as a pit pass, fans get full access to the pits for photos, autographs, and up-close views of the machines and teams.

DIRT RACING – DIRT DOWN IN T-TOWN

At neighboring Tulsa Speedway, the American Sprint Car Series headlines the dirt portion of the weekend, with 410ci winged sprint cars, USRA Modifieds and B-Mods, Factory Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and Tuners rounding out a stacked lineup. From heat races to A-Features, door-to-door battles and dirt-spraying drifts are guaranteed.

VIP EXPERIENCES & FAN UPGRADES AVAILABLE

For fans seeking an elevated experience, both TRP and TSW are offering VIP suites, starting-line passes, tailgate zones, and even RV hookups – all available to reserve now at TulsaRacewayPark.com and TulsaSpeedway.com. Quantities are limited, and upgrades traditionally sell out fast.

MWDRS Founder Keith Haney says the event is a bold statement about what’s possible when drag racing thinks bigger.

“We’re always looking for ways to raise the bar and bring fans something new. This is a collaboration that gives everyone – from hardcore fans to families – something to be excited about. Double Down in T-Town is the kind of experience that puts Tulsa on the map in a big way,” said Haney. “Drag racing, dirt racing, jet cars, sprint cars – two tracks, one weekend. Let’s go.”

The Double Down in T-Town will be live-streamed on the MWDRS YouTube channel, and fans are encouraged to follow @MWDRS and @TulsaRacewayPark for updates, schedule announcements, and behind-the-scenes coverage.
