The 2026 season of NHRA’s Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series is heating up, and reigning world champion Justin Lamb has already begun to blaze a trail in the new year. Buoyed by a final-round appearance at the NHRA Pacific Division season-opener in Super Stock, Las Vegas-area resident Lamb is eager to get back on track, and he’s even more eager to do so as he launches into a multi-year partnership with LIUNA Local 872.
When Lamb pulls into In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip for race two in the Pacific Division this weekend, the Chevrolet COPO Camaro that he races in Stock Eliminator, as well as his race hauler, will prominently feature the bold orange Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) branding. His championship-winning Super Stock Camaro will continue to spotlight RAD Torque Systems, making for a powerful 1-2 punch in the new year and beyond.
“This is a really special partnership for me because I grew up in Las Vegas and still live and work there, and the members of LIUNA Local 872 are a huge part of building Las Vegas and keeping it running,” said Lamb, a business analyst for the City of Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas.
There are over half a million LIUNA members across the nation making up the most innovative, aggressive, diverse, and fastest-growing union of construction workers. Laborers Local 872 was established over 100 years ago, and its members have been an integral part in the elevation of one of the most well-known and visited cities in the world: Las Vegas.
“Just like me, they’re all about working hard, solving problems, and supporting growth,” said Lamb. “It’s a natural partnership, and I’m looking forward to sharing success on the racetrack with the men and women who work so tirelessly to make my home town even better.”
Lamb, the reigning Super Stock world champion, has four championships in Super Stock (2015, 2017, 2018, 2025) and two in Stock (2013, 2017), as well as nine Lucas Oil championships in NHRA’s Pacific Division: Top Comp (2003), Comp Eliminator (2011, 2012), Stock (2013, 2017, 2019) and Super Stock (2015, 2017, 2025). He enters the 2026 season with 34 national event wins in 52 final rounds and 36 division wins. He is one of three drivers to have won two national championships in one season (2017), and one of 29 drivers to have doubled at a national event. The Snyder Sportsman Classic at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip is the second of eight events in NHRA’s Pacific Division. It will take place Thursday, March 12 through Sunday, March 15. The NHRA Arizona Nationals will take place one week later in Chandler, Ariz., just outside of Phoenix.
