As Drag Illustrated’s 30 Under 30 program celebrates 10 years this December, Lincoln Electric’s welder giveaway is returning for its third consecutive year. All of the honorees on this year’s DI 30 Under 30 List will have the opportunity to win a Lincoln Electric major prize package through a random chip draw during the 30 Under 30 press conference on Friday, Dec. 13. The press conference will take place during the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show in downtown Indianapolis.

The Lincoln Electric prize package includes a Lincoln Square Wave® TIG 200 TIG Welder, welding gear, and the opportunity to attend welding classes at the Lincoln Electric Welding School.

“Lon Damon and the Lincoln Electric group have continually shown their support for what we’re doing with the 30 Under 30 program,” said Wes Buck, founder and editorial director, Drag Illustrated. “By offering up a TIG welder, a slew of products, and welding classes, Lincoln will help one lucky honoree continue to hone their welding skills – or even add welding to their list of talents. This is no small prize giveaway, and we greatly appreciate Lincoln’s generosity and support.”

After each of the 30 Under 30 honorees take the stage at the 30 Under 30 press conference at the Indianapolis Convention Center, Damon will draw a chip to determine the winner of the prize package. Honorees will also receive custom 30 Under 30 jackets and prizes from other program sponsors.

“I love the idea of Drag Illustrated putting the spotlight on these young individuals in the sport of drag racing, and we’re glad to help the program in any way possible,” said Lon Damon, Sports Marketing, NHRA/IndyCar, Lincoln Electric. “We’re providing a welding package that includes a week of welding school to help support the lucky honoree’s racing operation. Altogether, it will be a great asset to have.”

In addition to the Square Wave® TIG 200 TIG Welder, the winner will also get to choose either a Premium Welding Gear Ready-Pak® or Women’s Welding Gear Ready-Pak®.

The welding class is offered at the Lincoln Electric Welding Technology & Training Center, a 130,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located on Lincoln’s Euclid, Ohio, campus near Cleveland. The internationally recognized facility features 166 welding and cutting booths, a virtual reality training lab, a 100-seat auditorium, and extensive seminar and welding classroom space to advance technical skills. The DI 30 Under 30 press conference will take place from 3-4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 in rooms ICC 231-233 at the Indiana Convention Center during the PRI Show.
