Good Vibrations Expands IHRA Sponsorship Into Jr. Dragsters

GoodVibeLogo_colorThe International Hot Rod Association is pleased to announce that Good Vibrations Motorsports, based in Whittier, California, has once again expanded its partnership with IHRA Motorsports by sponsoring IHRA’s Junior Dragster Team Finals and the Junior Dragster classes at all IHRA Summit Pro-Am Tour events.

Good Vibrations Motorsports will be the title sponsor for both Junior Dragster Team Finals events to be held at Maryland International Raceway (July 5-7) and at State Capitol Raceway (October 26-27) as well as become class sponsor for the three Junior Dragster classes contested on the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour. Those classes include the Junior Master, Junior Advanced and Junior Beginner categories.

In addition to an across the board sponsorship of IHRA’s Junior Dragster program, Good Vibrations Motorsports will also expand its presence in the youth racing community by sponsoring IHRA’s Teen Championship Racing program and will sponsor a full-color page in IHRA’s Drag Review Magazine dedicated solely to Junior Dragster racing.

“Supporting IHRA’s Junior and teen programs is an investment in our sport’s future. These youngsters have the passion and desire to succeed; they need to know we’re willing to support them as they pursue their dreams,” said Jim Maher, owner of Good Vibrations Motorsports. “I’m an avid believer in our youth and encourage them to use their special gifts and talents in whatever career path they choose to follow.”

Good Vibrations Motorsports, based in Whittier, California, was founded by former Funny Car driver Jim Maher in 1989 as a home for high-performance racing products. The company specializes in supercharged applications and mechanical fuel injection and they offer premium quality products at very competitive prices and customer service that can’t be matched. Good Vibrations founder Maher is also an avid drag racing fan and Funny Car racer with multiple victories to his name making him a perfect fit with the IHRA.

Already sponsor of IHRA’s Top Sportsman and Top Dragster classes, as well as acting as title sponsor of three Nitro Jam events in 2013, Good Vibrations Motorsports and owner Jim Maher are thrilled to give back to the racing community and expand its reach in sportsman drag racing.

“In speaking with Jim Maher and seeing his passion in wanting to expand his reach, not only to our current racers, but to the future of the sport with our youth programs, we agreed it was the perfect fit,” said Robert Jaramillo, IHRA Director of Sales. “He is passionate about the sport and he is dedicated to supporting those who support him and I believe this is great partnership that will benefit generations of racers to come.”

The Good Vibrations Junior Dragster classes will compete at all of the remaining Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour events in Divisions 2, 4, 6 and 9 as well as at the two Junior Team Finals events to be held in July and October.
