Blake Alexander, a prominent figure in NHRA Funny Car competition, has announced that he will no longer race for Jim Head Racing in 2025. Alexander expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to race the Head Racing Nitro Funny Car, reflecting on a chapter that spanned five successful years.
“This car/team that I used to watch as a little boy in the stands became my reality over the last five years,” Alexander shared in his farewell letter.
Under the Head Racing banner, Alexander achieved two national event wins, including one victory in the 2024 season, which propelled him to a career-best sixth-place finish in the championship points standings despite competing in just 18 events. Alexander is also one of the few drivers to hold victories in both the Top Fuel and Funny Car categories.
Alexander also took a moment to thank his sponsors and teammates for their unwavering support throughout his 14-year professional career. “I’m so thankful for the opportunity to learn from veteran racers and to have seen the growth of our young crew members,” he noted.
Looking ahead, Alexander hinted at exciting announcements for his future endeavors, signaling that this is far from the end of his racing story.
