EOPM / BIG DOG Head to Piedmont Dragway

The Extreme Outlaw Pro Mod Series presented by Hank Thomas Performance and sponsored by Pete Dawkins Machine is scheduled to roll into Piedmont Dragway, home of the famous “BIG DOG Shootout”, August 7th, bringing together two of the finest and most competitive Pro Modified series’ in the country for the first time in history.

The EOPM has dreamed of having an event at Piedmont and when the dates from the scheduled GALOT Motorsports Park events became available, the staff contacted Gilmer Hinshaw, owner of Piedmont Dragway, and he welcomed the EOPM to contest two events. The EOPM will run at the faunder the lights in conjunction with the BIG DOG Shootout August 7th at the famed facility, where grassroots southern-style outlaw drag racing began in 1957.

The EOJD Extreme Outlaw Jr Dragsters will also be competing along with the EOPM & BIG DOG August 7th.

The next event at Piedmont will be held October 18th & 19th, and will be a two day race featuring The CV Qualifying Challenge on Saturday, a winner-take-all $3,000 race for the top eight in qualifying points accumulated during the year, and qualifying for all EOPM classes. Then Sunday afternoon the fans will enjoy “The Southeast Gasser Association”.

Racers including Quain Stott, Tommy Lumley, Tim & Jared Bailey, Sonny Burr, Greg Porter & many more of the Gasser stars will turn back the pages of time at Piedmont Dragway along with EOPM elimination round. All EOPM classes will be competing at the October 18th & 19th event: EOPM, Extreme Outlaw Top Sportsman (EOTS), and EOJD.
