Dubbin Back Behind The Wheel For Brainerd Events

The NHRA Lucas Oil Series returns this weekend for round four of five in the Central Region at Brainerd International Raceway. The Dubbin Motorsports Team looks to improve upon some heartbreaking bad luck they have experienced in the 2024 season.

Achieving their best result of the season with a win at his home track will be on Dean Dubbin’s mind as he gets back behind the wheel of his A/Fuel Dragster. Although the Dubbin Motorsports season has met with problems in the early rounds, the drive to win has not faltered in the Dubbin Team.

“We’ve continued to improve race after race,” explained Dubbin. “It’s safe to say we’ll do the same in Brainerd this weekend. This team is top-notch in providing the best possible car, and I think the team is a little overdue for better results than we have been having. If we can get on a roll early we can be tough to stop at a track like Brainerd.”

Brainerd International Raceway is the home track for Dubbin, a track where he’s had success before. In previous years, at the Brainerd Regional and National Events, Dubbin has competed in several late rounds, coming up just short to Jackie Fricke in the final round of the Lucas Oil Nationals in 2018. The Dubbin Team is experienced at the Brainerd facility and does not lack confidence on their home turf.

“We’ve had an incredibly fast car at times this season, but the races haven’t gone our way,” added Dubbin. “Everyone on this team works so hard to provide both me and Kirk (Wolf) with an amazing setup and I’m going to be focused on producing the results worthy of this car and this team. We all will be pushing for a win this weekend. It doesn’t get any better than doing well at your home track!”

In addition to competing in the event, DMP Awnings, owned by Dean Dubbin, will also be the presenting sponsor of the Brainerd event.

“The opportunity to partner with Brainerd to make this race happen is a no-brainer as far as I’m concerned,” commented Dean Dubbin, owner of DMP Awnings. “This is our home track and we are grateful to have the opportunity to invite teams into our backyard to enjoy great competition on the track and experience the beautiful surroundings that the Brainerd area provides. These teams are our customers, we appreciate any opportunity to give back to the racing community that has been the backbone of our success.”
