Cruz Pedregon claimed his 40th Nitro Funny Car career win and the team’s first Wally of 2025 with a Countdown victory at Reading Nationals. Making some key team additions really paid off in the off-season for the Snap-on® Dodge® Hellcat® with a 3.969 at 330.63 mph to win the race.
“This is a big one…40. You know, I hired a young guy by the name of Jason Bunker. He and I worked together, and I’ve been doing this for a few years, so the fact that we put it together and Snap-on is sticking behind us. They’re the number one tool brand, so it’s a lot of pressure driving the Snap-on car. They’re the best, and I’m grateful they’ve stuck with me,” said Cruz Pedregon, two-time Funny Car world champion.
“Snap-on congratulates Cruz and his team on their first 2025 victory at Reading Nationals. We wish them continued momentum and success as they approach Charlotte and St. Louis in the coming weeks,” said Randy Stewart, Snap-on’s head of motorsports.

Cruz says, “We’re running the Snap-on 105th anniversary body, 105 years in business, what a great thing. So, this is big…40. I want to thank all the supporters. Everybody who sticks with this team, I was emotional earlier, and I said, we’ve won a couple of championships, I haven’t forgotten how to do it. So as long as the Raiders are back, the Cruzer’s back, baby.”
