Crampton Welcomes Baby Girl to Family

GEICO/Lucas Oil Top Fuel driver Richie Crampton and girlfriend Stephanie Laski welcomed their first child into the world Tuesday afternoon (May 20).

Emma Kathleen Crampton, 8 pounds, 13 ounces, was born at 3:59 p.m. at IU Health North Hospital. Both baby and mother are doing well.

“Well, we’re now parents!” Crampton said. “Everyone is doing great. It’s a new chapter in our lives and Stephanie and I are excited to be parents.”

Crampton, 33, is a rookie in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. A native of Australia, Crampton moved to the United States 10 years ago to pursue his dream of driving a Top Fuel dragster.

Now an American citizen, Crampton got the opportunity to drive Morgan Lucas Racing’s car this season and currently is tied for ninth in season points.
