Career-Best Season and Bolstered Partnerships with Blind Frog Ranch, CIP1, and More fuel Taylor Chomiski for Powerful 2025

A fresh new season of NHRA drag racing has Comp Eliminator standout Taylor Chomiski fired up to go fast. On the heels of finishing in the prestigious top 10 with a pair of well-earned victories, the second-generation drag racer is dialed in for an even better performance during the 2025 rendition of NHRA’s Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. While each of Chomiski’s valued partners have renewed their commitment, Blind Frog Ranch has stepped up with primary support and will be riding on the doors of Chomiski’s speedy 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt in one of the most challenging categories in all of drag racing. Longtime partner CIP1.com, Chomiski’s first-ever sponsor, is returning for a sixth consecutive season, along with the continued support of Scott Seed Company.

“What I’m most excited about is being able to come into this new season with the support of such great people and brands,” said Chomiski, who will make his season debut at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La., March 12-15 for the South Central Division opener, followed by the Laris Motorsports Insurance Cajun SPORTSnationals at the same dragstrip, March 14-16.

“It means a lot to me, personally, to welcome back each of our partners and to have the folks at Blind Frog Ranch step into an increased level of support. To be able to highlight all of these awesome brands on the racetrack is something I don’t take lightly, and my plan is to get them to the winner’s circle,” continued Chomiski, who is honored to also receive support from NC Machine and Tool (ncmachine.com); Watson Concrete; Associated Concrete Inc. (ACI); Maxima Racing Oils; Lonestar Gasket; and Chomiski Performance.

Last season’s incredible scorecard included powering to a career-second division win at the event at Flying H Dragstrip in Odessa, Mo., then reaching a final round at the division race in Tulsa, and finally scoring a near double at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. There in La Vegas, Chomiski claimed the first national event victory of his career at the Ford Performance NHRA Nationals after coming up just one win light short in the prestigious Las Vegas Cash Clash race, part of Rodger Brogdon’s RoofTec Comp Eliminator Bonus Fund specialty series.

The accomplishments were made even sweeter as he shared them with his father, best friend, engine builder, and crew chief Gary Chomiski and car chief and friend David “Chief” Trujillo.

“The Las Vegas event was huge for us, and to only miss one win light in nine rounds there was nothing short of amazing,” recalled Chomiski. “The whole year was amazing, really, from setting both ends of the C/SM national record and being No. 1 qualifier in Belle Rose, to qualifying in the top half at all but one race, to getting my second divisional and first national event wins. I’ve had a couple of top 10 finishes in the division, but to finish No. 8 in the national standings is really special. I am always humbled and honored to race with 5233 on the window — my dad’s number when he raced — but this year, we will proudly rock a single digit.”

Driving the ’08 Cobalt that brought him so much success in 2024, Chomiski will start the season in Belle Rose and has a total of 14 events on his schedule at present, each strategically selected by location and the potential to maximize points. Not only will he be racing for event wins, he’ll also be eying the division and national championships with the encouragement of his partners.

“We’ve got all of our ducks in a row, and I’m looking forward to getting back out there and picking up where we left off,” said Chomiski. “If we could have continued and hit one or two races a month in January and February, we would have done so – we are so excited to get back to the racetrack, we can’t stand it. With the fantastic partners that we have, we can hit the ground running. We’ve said for months that all we needed was a racetrack – now we have it, and we’re ready to go.”
