BigStuff Total Power Management, manufacturers of state-of-the-art electronic engine and powertrain controllers, will serve as the title sponsor of the PDRA North vs. South Shootout, Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series officials announced today. The BigStuff Total Power Management North vs. South Shootout, June 12-14, at Maryland International Raceway is the fourth of eight national events on the 2025 PDRA schedule.

“We’re proud to join BigStuff TPM in announcing their sponsorship of the PDRA North vs. South Shootout at Maryland International Raceway,” said Will Smith, marketing director, PDRA. “BigStuff has been a part of the industry for years, and with new ownership, they’re trying to reach new customers and new markets in 2025. We pride ourselves on connecting our partners with one of the most diehard racer bases in drag racing. PDRA champions use BigStuff products, and I’m sure we’ll see more racers join them with this new partnership.”

Founded by John Meaney in the early 2000s, BigStuff was acquired in 2021 by Ben Davidow, who has focused on advancing BigStuff’s innovative product development and technical support. PDRA Elite Top Sportsman standout Bryan LaFlam joined the BigStuff team in April 2024 as a co-owner and Director of Operations. With Davidow in California and LaFlam in the racing hot bed of North Carolina, they work together to serve customers in a wide variety of racing disciplines, classes, and series.

LaFlam also practices what he preaches, as he’s utilized BigStuff components in his own racing program since 2017. He currently drives a supercharged ’67 Mustang in Elite Top Sportsman.

“We’re rebranding and launching a major marketing campaign, and what better place to do that than the PDRA,” LaFlam said. “We want to remind people that we’re here and we’re here to stay. PDRA is filled with racers who expect the best from the components they purchase for their racing programs. We aim to deliver user-friendly, technically advanced ECUs and technical support from highly trained professionals. We’re excited to share that message with the PDRA crowd at the North vs. South Shootout and throughout the 2025 season.”

BigStuff TPM offers a full range of ECUs, injector drives, dashes, and wire harnesses for the performance aftermarket that are all Made in the USA. The BigStuff GEN4 system is capable of handling 600 horsepower up to over 6,000 HP, making it an attractive option for racers competing in PDRA’s numerous professional and sportsman categories.

“We have no limitations to what class we could perform in,” LaFlam said. “We have all the features you would ever need from Bracket Bash up to Pro Boost. I run a supercharged, methanol-burning combination in my car and it does everything I need it to do, from fuel injection to timing curves.”

Racers interested in BigStuff TPM’s offerings for PDRA competition can catch up with LaFlam in the pits at the North vs. South Shootout or any of the seven other PDRA national events. Technical support is also available by calling (248) 786-7012 or by sending an email to [email protected]
