Bartone Bros. Racing Win Top Alcohol Funny Car at Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals

Bartone Bros. Racing won Top Alcohol Funny Car at the 18th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals run in Norwalk, Ohio.

Sean Bellemeur (39th national win) drove the Bartone Bros. Racing Top Alcohol Funny Car (TAFC), known as the Pirate Ship, to a time of 5.43 at 268 MPH, the low ET of the weekend, to beat Maddi Gordon for the Wally on Sunday. The team backs up their regional win at the same track just 29 days ago, where they reset the TAFC track record at Summit Motorsports Park with a run of 5.393 at 269 MPH.

“What a weekend for the World’s Fastest Family,” Bellemeur said. “We saw the entry coming into this event and we knew we would had to bring it, the best of the best were here. It was special. This wasn’t free we didn’t qualify exactly where we wanted. Steve (Boggs, tuner) and the boys just kept working, getting it better and better. I had to keep up on the driving side. Old Boggs and the boys threw out a low ET on the final. That’s Boggs for you, he’s an Ohio native so a good result all around.

“With Anthony Bartone winning in Belgium (Crowdstrike Spa 24 Hours) that just makes this weekend even more special. That is a testament to Tony Bartone and how he puts his teams in a position to be successful. We have the crew of Steve Boggs, Troy Green, Nick Stoms, Justin Taylor, Garret Bateman, Seth Shebester, and Matt Krebs making our hot rod get down the track into victory lane.”

Team owner and father Tony Bartone is ecstatic with the weekend.

“Not in my wildest dreams did I think we could win on two continents in a 24-hour race and a NHRA drag race,” Bartone said. “I am proud of my son Anthony and just as proud of my guys here at Norwalk. What a weekend!”

Crowdstrike Spa 24 Hours Victory

Anthony Bartone (USA), James Kell (GBR), Yannick Mettler (SUI), and Aaron Walker (GBR) won the Silver Class in the SRO Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa ran at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium this weekend regarded as the world’s largest GT3 race.

The foursome, driving the No. 3 Bartone Bros. Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Getspeed, made their way to the top of the Silver Class podium by dealing with over two hours of rain behind the Pace Car in the early evening last night and continuous additional yellow flag periods throughout the darkness. The team and drivers had to go from dry running to wet and back again. The sun came up Sunday morning and greeted the 65-car field to dry conditions in the Ardennes Forest region of Belgium for the race to the checkered flag.

The team would like to thank team sponsors Red Line Oil, Roger Dean Chevrolet, Talon Air, NGK, and Mastercam along with product sponsors Simpson Performance Products and Taylor Motorsports Products.
