Three-time NHRA Funny Car world champion Ron Capps is set to reveal a bold new look when he rolls into Gainesville Raceway for the highly anticipated season opener of the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. This weekend at the NHRA Gatornationals, Capps and his NAPA Auto Care Funny Car team will give viewers a glimpse at Carlyle Tools’ new branding with a striking black-and-“venom” green livery paint scheme.
While motorsports fans may be used to seeing the Carlyle Tools logo on the entries of NAPA-backed drivers, the reputable line, which features a robust catalog of items ranging from hand tools to service and air tools to storage, will feature an eye-catching new look in 2025. The Carlyle Tools rebrand, set to officially launch in April, reflects a new initiative geared towards reaching students and young technicians.
Carlyle has tapped the Ron Capps Motorsports team to serve as a strategic partner in reaching the NHRA’s legion of loyal fans with this fresh new look. Motorsports fans will get an exclusive preview of the rebranded design this weekend in Gainesville, Fla. Fans can also expect to see the limited-edition Carlyle Tools Toyota GR Supra Funny Car on the track at the prestigious NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis and the NHRA Nevada Nationals in Las Vegas.
“It’s really an honor that Carlyle has chosen our team to be a part of their relaunch, even allowing us to tease their new branding with our car this weekend in Gainesville before they officially launch,” said Capps, as he prepares to embark on his fourth season as an NHRA team owner/driver. “It’s always fun to bring something new out, and even better when you have a whole new look for your car. I think the fans are really going to love it.”
Known for their unbreakable strength and precision engineering, Carlyle Tools are crafted from superior steel and alloy, designed to withstand the toughest challenges. While its packaging may look different, Carlyle’s commitment to producing high-quality and dependable tools that meet the high-performance needs of the NAPA Auto Care Funny Car team remains the same.
“Carlyle Tools are built to outwork the competition,” said Capps. “That’s a promise I can really get behind because I think we do a pretty good job of that at Ron Capps Motorsports. Our team works tirelessly to be the best, and that requires powerful, reliable tools that deliver every time. We are ready to outwork the competition and make every run count this season.”
As the official tool supplier of the Ron Capps Motorsports team, Carlyle Tools will be the featured partner at multiple NHRA events and a major associate sponsor for Ron Capps Motorsports all season long. Carlyle’s branding will be prominently displayed on Capps’ 11,000-horsepower Funny Car as well as on all team apparel, and their presence at the track will extend beyond the NAPA Funny Car pit as the Carlyle OUTLAW trailer is slated for a dedicated midway space at a minimum of 10 events during the year.
“Debuting the new Carlyle paint scheme on the Ron Capps NAPA Auto Care Funny Car is the perfect way for us to give the NHRA fanbase a sneak peek at our new brand identity,” said Emily Schneider, Sr. Director of Marketing. “Carlyle represents an outlaw spirit, designed for those who defy convention, which we think will resonate with this audience. We look forward to sharing the larger Carlyle story this spring.”
Fans can catch the Carlyle Tools Toyota GR Supra Funny Car on the track this Friday, March 7, at the NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway where Capps and the NAPA team will begin their pursuit of a fourth NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series title.
