Larry Jeffers Race Cars, builders of championship-winning race cars in a variety of drag racing classes, is the new presenting sponsor of the PDRA Thunder Valley Throwdown at Bristol Dragway, series officials announced today. The Thunder Valley Throwdown presented by Larry Jeffers Race Cars, Aug. 21-23, is the sixth of eight races on the 2025 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series schedule and it marks the series’ second annual stop at the historic Bristol Dragway.

For more than a decade, Larry Jeffers Race Cars has produced race cars for world champions and record holders in a variety of doorslammer-centric categories, from Pro Modified to No Prep and drag radial classes. Jeffers also produces carbon fiber body components, pit equipment, and parts from a long list of manufacturers. “I have some customers in the PDRA and it’s some of the best racing there is,” said Larry Jeffers. “It’s a good family atmosphere and I just wanted to support PDRA. Bristol is a cool place with a lot of history, especially in Pro Mod. It worked out that we were able to get involved as the presenting sponsor.”
