The Pro Stock battle remained strong in Charlotte at the American Rebel Light NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, and Greg Anderson drove his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro right through the competition to reach the 185th final round of his career. Although Anderson came up one win light shy of a 109th victory, the reigning and six-time world champion showed up with a dominant car that held strong all the way to the end.

Starting from the No. 2 position in his trusty HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro, Anderson knew he was fully capable of nabbing a third win on the season, and the magnitude of winning in the backyard of Rick Hendrick and HendrickCars.com was not lost on the Mooresville, N.C.-based racer.

“It’s just awesome the way my HendrickCars.com Chevy has been performing, and it would have been the icing on the cake to drive it to victory with Mr. H on the property. He’s done so much for us, and it’s just a great honor to be associated with him and with the HendrickCars.com brand,” said Anderson, who clocked low elapsed time of the entire event in the final round with an absolutely blistering 6.472-second pass.

“I can’t exactly say I’m happy that Dallas Glenn won this race, because I certainly wanted this one more than most – but I am happy that the trophy is coming home to KB Titan Racing. This was a big win for our team, and it was a day we won’t forget.”

Glenn and Anderson actually tied for the No. 1 qualifying position with identical 6.502-second passes, but Glenn was a smidge quicker in terms of speed to get the GESi Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier award.

On Sunday, Anderson powered his way to the final with a racecar that continued to improve. A midday launch into eliminations began with a quad packed with power. In addition to Anderson’s speedy HendrickCars.com Chevy, KB Titan Racing teammate Deric Kramer, along with Brandon Foster and Kenny Delco, were also gunning for glory. Anderson advanced with a 6.487, 212.46. In the second act, he laid down low elapsed time of the round, 6.512, 211.96, to move ahead to the final.

The only obstacle for Anderson proved to be a respectable .036-second reaction time in the final that simply could not hold up to Glenn’s psychic .002 reaction. Glenn earned the 200th win for KB Titan Racing along with the Charlotte trophy.

“Still a great day, and I’m so proud of this team,” said Anderson. “To step back and be able to say we’ve won 200 Pro Stock races – it’s almost unbelievable, but not when you look at how hard this whole team works, top to bottom. I’m very proud to have been part of this from the beginning, and I’m certainly planning to add to that win-total as much as I possibly can.”

The next Pro Stock race on the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series schedule will be the New England Nationals in Epping, N.H., May 30-June 1.
