For example, 3/8-16 and 3/8-24 bolts are offered with either 3/8” or 7/16” heads. Likewise, 7/16-14 and 7/16-20 bolts have 7/16” or 1/2” wrenching heads.
Available in polished stainless steel or black oxide coated 8740 chrome moly steel, the 3/8” bolts are available with underhead lengths ranging from .500” to 5.000”. The 7/16” bolts range from 1.500” to 5.000”. A choice of hex or 12-point heads is also offered.
Both the polished stainless steel and 8740 chrome moly bolts are nominally rated at 180,000 psi —fully 20% stronger than Grade 8 hardware.
