Brogdon Rebrands to Help Promote ProtectTheHarvest.com

Brogdon_PTHrendering640Pro Stock driver Rodger Brogdon will once again be part of the Lucas Oil racing family as he’ll drive the ProtectTheHarvest.com/Lucas Oil Chevy Camaro in the 2013 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Brogdon said he’s proud to have Protect The Harvest on his car because of the important work the organization is doing.

“I don’t farm or anything, but I do enjoy a good steak,” Brogdon said. “I can’t believe some of these radical groups Protect The Harvest is up against. They flat-out don’t want people to have pets or hunt and fish. That’s why we’re doing all we can to explain some important facts to everyday citizens.

Brogdon_PTHrendering“I’ve had dogs all my life. Our dog Bentley is like part of the family. I’m an avid fisherman too, and I couldn’t imagine going out on the water without taking the opportunity to throw a line in the water. Forrest and Protect The Harvest are doing great things and I’m happy to help spread the word.”

Brogdon said he is putting the finishing touches on moving his engine shop from Oklahoma to Houston and is looking forward to the start of the season.

“We’ve done a lot of work to get where we want to be,” Brogdon said. “It seems like we’ve still got a mountain or two to climb before Pomona. But we’ll be ready to go when we get there, and we think we’ll have a fast car.

“Our team went through a lot of growing pains last year, but Forrest Lucas stood by us the whole way,” Brogdon said. “We’re really happy about the changes we made during the course of the 2012 season and this offseason. We’re excited to get the chance to reward Forrest’s loyalty with some success this year.”
