Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Raceway Park to Celebrate 60th Anniversary with Funny Car Chaos

For the first time in history, Funny Car Chaos will bring its unique collective of “run-whatcha-brung” outlaw funny cars to Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Raceway Park (TRP) for the 60th anniversary event.

Celebrating such a historic milestone of 60 years in operation, the team at Tulsa Raceway Park has a huge event planned for the weekend of April 25-26. As part of the event, the teams are excited to announce special guest Don “The Snake” Prudhomme will be on site to visit with fans, sign autographs and start the show.

“It’s a great time at Tulsa Raceway Park! When I had the dream 13 years ago just to help TRP make it to its 50th anniversary and see what happens after that, I would have never thought Keith [Haney] and I would now be celebrating TRP’s 60th anniversary/birthday,” said Todd Martin, co-owner of Tulsa Raceway Park. “Many tracks never make 50 years, and now, for us to be one of the few in the country to make 60, we are very honored because we know it could not be done without the support of the Sponsors, Racers, and the community.

“We wanted to bring back ‘The Snake’ because he has so much history here at TRP – from the 1972 Funny Car race to the 50th Anniversary, plus the ‘Snake and Mongoose’ movie, which highlights tracks in Oklahoma. I want the fans and the community to get to meet this nitro legend. I know as a kid I never thought I would ever get to meet him, and now we have become friends because of the sport we love and the place he helped make famous. We hope to have many other of the great names in drag racing like Benny Osborn and others out for this event as well,” added Martin.

Funny Car Chaos brings a unique flair to funny car racing with a run-whatcha-brung, loud, and fast style of racing. With cars exceeding 200 mph and exhaust loud enough to be heard downtown, this show is like none other. The cars, the teams, and the atmosphere are truly a one-off experience for 2025.

“Simply put, the CHAOS is coming, and it’s going to be big! We expect 32-plus outlaw Funny Cars for this event and highly anticipate our first-ever visit to historic Tulsa Raceway Park. There will be more Funny Cars on the property than fans in Tulsa have seen in half a century. Having a Funny Car superstar like Don Prudhomme in the house is icing on the cake and truly makes this a must-attend event on the schedule. We’ll see you at the CHAOS!” shared Chris Graves, creator of Funny Car Chaos.

Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Raceway Park is one of three new facilities on the seven-race schedule for Funny Car Chaos. The fans of Tulsa Raceway Park have asked for this event for years, and the track is proud to bring such a great show to the great spectators and racers of the Tulsa area.

While fans can buy spectator tickets at the gate, it is recommended to purchase early to save time so you don’t miss a minute of the show. VIP Starting line passes are available for fans who want to be within 10 feet of a Funny Car. RV parking against the fence at the finish line, and it will go fast, so it is recommended to purchase those now.

Supporting classes will be announced soon. It’s recommended to purchase entries as soon as possible, especially if asphalt parking and crew passes are needed.
